The BLA is a group of enthusiasts dedicated to promoting the hobby of keeping and breeding freshwater livebearing fishes.
Our aims are:
- To facilitate the species maintenance of wild form livebearing fishes.
- To provide access to information on good husbandry of livebearing fishes.
- To provide access to information of the locations and habitats of livebearing fishes.
- To provide access to members of wild form and cultivated species of livebearing fishes.
- To provide support to various conservation groups.
- To increase participation and skill in fish husbandry and other related matters.
- To provide annual social events and other events.
- To provide quarterly publications.
